Welcome to our retail location!  Allen Wick Candles is located in the beautiful village of Keene, Ontario.  We are just 15 minutes from Peterborough on the north-shore of Rice Lake.  We love our location!  The candle shop is in a century old schoolhouse and we occupy two of the original classrooms.  Our store is filled with a variety of soy candles including jar candles, tea lights, votives and one-of-a-kind dessert candles.  We also carry a selection of home décor, gifts and local hand-crafted items including; painted home accents, quilts, jewelry and all-natural soap.  Our candle making studio is also located on-site and is open to the public for viewing. 

As I developed my candle making skills, my husband I would visit beautiful candle shops. I loved seeing all the candle creations.  It was my dream for many years to have my own candle shop to showcase my unique designs.  I also have a love for painted furniture and French country décor, so I combined all of it into Allen Wick Candle’s store.  When we moved back to Ontario, it was time to find the right location. I wanted the store to have lots of charm.  And along the way I realized that I wanted it to be in the community in which I lived.  The perfect spot opened up in this 101-year-old schoolhouse!  It has an abundance of character.  It’s my dream location!

Simply Natural Canada - All-natural handcrafted soap products made in small batches using olive, coconut and vegetable oils with coconut mill and/or beer.  Essential oils, honey and grains are also used in some recipes SNC is located in Peterborough, Ontario and they are also a business member of Random Acts of Green.

My Mother’s Dresser - The owner Cynthia Kay transforms furniture, signs, frames. She also revitalizes chalkboards using chalk paint.  Her home studio is located in Millbrook, Ontario.

Lots of Lady Bugs - Sheryl is a crafter at heart!  She loves making a wide range of items.  In store we carry her beautiful jewelry and photo greeting cards, she is located Keene, Ontario.

Quilts by Julie - My talented sister Julie Gagnon, makes beautiful quilted items.  In-store we carry a selection of quilts, table toppers, placemats, and baby bibs.  She has been quilting for more than 25 years and is located in Ottawa, Ontario.
